Here's what's new in our latest update:
We’ve made significant improvements to simulation job scheduling, introducing new options for running simulations.

Vector Plots
We’ve expanded visualization capabilities in Luminary3D with the introduction of vector plots.
Line Widget
A new interactive Line Widget is now integrated into the Streamlines filter. This widget becomes available when the "Rake" seed type is selected, allowing you to assign and modify line properties more intuitively.
Force Distribution Plot
You can now create a new type of XY plot, Force Distribution, directly from the output panel. This is particularly useful for analyzing data such as span-wise lift distribution or cumulative drag.
No Highlighting Mode
In addition to the existing Select Surfaces and Select Volumes modes (which highlight objects on mouseover), we’ve added a No Highlight mode. This disables object highlights, making it easier to inspect and analyze results. This mode is now the default setting in the Results tab.
The Clip filter has been updated with several new enhancements:
Here's what's new in our latest update:
When creating refinement boxes or monitor planes, you can now move, rotate, or resize them using an interactive widget.
For monitor planes, interactive Box Clip creation is also supported.
Streamlines have been released for Luminary3D. You'll notice a more responsive experience when using this visualization filter.
Here's what's new in our latest update:
You can now set up a design of Experiments (DOE) from by clicking on the gear icon on the right of the Run Simulation button and selecting Setup Design of Experiments.
Now when you select a surface or volume, its edges will be highlighted:

This backwards-compatible release contains performance improvements, including an improvement to mesh upload speed. We recommend upgrading if you are using the Luminary SDK. Read more about this release here.
Contour plots are now supported in our visualization service, Luminary3D.
Here's what's new in our latest update:
The New Project modal has been redesigned to be more streamlined and to expose project templates which will be supported in an upcoming release.
The Templates tab contains project templates, with the Blank Project being the only option currently supported. The application-specific templates, marked "coming soon", will be supported in an upcoming release.
The Tutorials tab contains Luminary's tutorials, which you can use to learn about CFD applications and the Luminary platform. For a given tutorial, click the View Tutorial link below Description to navigate to the corresponding tutorial page. Then select Create to open the model in a new project and follow the instructions in the tutorial.
The Reset Visualization icon has been replaced with an Add (+) button, making it easier to add new visualizations. To reset your visualization state, you can now right-click on Visualizations and select Reset from the contextual menu.
When you create an output for an actuator disk, a reference arrow that represents the force/moment direction is now shown.
Here's what's new in our latest update:
We're excited to release our new workflow-based user interface. The interface has been restructured into logical stages, with visual cues to guide you towards completing necessary tasks before running simulations.
Read our introduction to the new interface here.
Note: Due to the magnitude of changes, you may experience some issues when first interacting with the app. If so, please refresh your browser by holding Shift and clicking the refresh icon. This will load the latest version of Luminary to your browser.
Tags are Luminary's new mechanism for organizing and referencing geometric entities within the platform, replacing the previous grouping mechanism.
Tags are a useful enhancement for workflows that involve geometry modifications, saving/reloading settings, or referencing entities across different projects.
Read our guide for working with Tags here.
Here's what's new in our latest update:
Previously, we released Luminary's client-side visualization for pre-processing and geometry modification. We're excited to now extend this to post-processing, enabling more responsive and higher quality visualization.
We've implemented an interactive interface for creating and placing boxes. You can now simply drag arrows to resize or move the box.
A checklist has been added to the top-right of the geometry modification tab to provide better guidance on the steps that you need to complete before moving on to simulation setup.
The contextual menus have been improved to make it easier for you to find and select geometry when right-clicking surfaces and volumes.
Key changes include:
When specifying the direction of an Output, an arrow will now be displayed as a visual reference. For moment outputs, the center of the arrow represents the moment center.
Functions to information has been added to the SDK, providing access to the features and feature issues for a Geometry. Read more about the release here.
Here's what's new in our latest update:
The Reynolds Number is now automatically calculated and displayed based on the Reference Values you input.
Viscous Drag (N) and Pressure Drag (N) have been added as scalar quantities in the Outputs list, allowing you to evaluate each component of drag independently.
Previously, a mesh that was uploaded via the SDK was not accessible in the Setup tab. When opening the Results tab, the Geometry tree panel was also not visible.
Now you can upload a mesh to a project via the SDK and seamlessly use it for model setup, solve, and post-processing in the UI.
Here's what's new in our latest update:
Luminary's Starter Edition is a plan for engineers who want to get started on the platform quickly. The plan gives users immediate access to the platform, along with $500 in free credits. You can learn more about the Starter Edition here.
If you know anyone who might be interested in trying out Luminary, invite them to sign up here.
Previously, a Box could be created using the center and side lengths as input parameters. We've now added the option to define a Box using corners.
Under Shape Definition, select Corners and enter the coordinates for the Bottom Left and Top Right corners of the box. You can also rotate the box using the Orientation input fields.
After running a solve with Lumi Mesh Adaptation (LMA), you can now select the final version of the adapted mesh from the mesh list for use in subsequent simulations
Here's what's new in our latest update:
Previously, all volumes were imprinted when using the imprinting functionality. Now you can select a subset of the volumes in your model to imprint.
When you select Imprint from the toolbar, Imprint All is checked by default. This will imprint all Volumes when you click Apply:
Unselecting this option will enable you to select specific Volumes to imprint from the geometry tree:
